Founded in 1989, Thorlabs has its headquarters in Newton, NJ. This location is home to our mechanics, optics, fiber optics, advanced systems technology, and laser division teams as well as one of four primary distribution warehouses. On-site manufacturing allows us to customize our products quickly and efficiently to meet specialized customer requests. Our technical support, call center, marketing, and web development teams are located in Newton and are dedicated to providing comprehensive customer support and services. Thorlabs manufactures over 20,000 products in our facilities, which total more than 720,000 square feet of manufacturing space in 9 countries. Since our founding in 1989, we have continuously invested in creating a high degree of vertical integration across our product lines.
